I backup my iPhone to iCloud and the backup is usually around 1 GB in size, sometimes gets down to 975 MB. That's not good for me since I just have the basic 5 GB of space. I checked my backup today and it's down to 275 MB.

Only recent changes I've made was update my 4S to 6.1.1 and deleted all my texts. Although when I deleted my texts, that was several days ago and it didn't change immediately. So I don't know if it would have taken a couple days to update.

Never Jailbroke the phone, ran iPhone cleaning apps, or disabled any app data from backup. Camera Roll only has a couple pictures on it.

Not complaining, just wondering what shaved off 700+ MB of space lol :D

Delete your back up and then turn it back on a re backup to iCloud. Do all of this from the phone. I went from 6.8 gb used to 4.3 gb used the other day by doing this.
