Just about a month ago I saw the cheapest available 1GB ram for my MBP and the cheapest on newegg was $65 and today prices are $10 cheaper for almost all brands and at outpost.com i can get a gig for $50 now. did something happen to cause this? or is this just the general decline in prices?

either way, im buying a gig tomorrow :D :D

Psh, around christmas, the cheapest was like $100, I don't know why you're flipping out over a $10 decrease. :p

i figure:
- they're trying to boost sales this time of year to help pay their taxes
- production finally met demand after all the christmas rush
- they ramped up production for a new wave of apples coming out
- the price will increase again after tax day

have you notice hard drives have dropped too?

a 2gb module is selling for $229 on newegg. it's not cheap, but it makes me wonder if it'd be worth it to put into my macbook.
