for the 500GB Seagate 7200.4 on nowdirect.com? I had the 250GB model on order and went to the site yesterday to see if there was any update on when it would ship. Lo and behold, they appeared to have the 500GB model in stock. I called to ask if they also had the 250GB model, and they said, "no, we just got about 600 units of the 500GB model in stock out of the blue." so i decided to bite the bullet and cough up about $70 more for the 500GB model. Well, it's shipped today and I got it for the low low price of $133. I'm looking forward to receiving it. [/understatement]

I wouldn't deal with nowdirect - they don't have good reports on resellerratings.com, which is usually a sign of a less than trustworthy store.
I placed my order a few weeks ago for the HDD and 4GB of crucial RAM for my aluminum macbook. Got the RAM in three days, worked perfectly. UPS says my HDD will be here tomorrow. sucks that others have had bad luck. I hope mine remains good. I really like them. I called them directly about a couple things and a person answered the phone. answered questions directly.
received the drive today, after ordering it less than 48 hours ago. I know that nowdirect.com has gotten some negative feedback, but I have actually found them to be the most pleasant online electronics dealer that I have dealt with. They're great on the phone and quick at answering emails. and this HDD is... AWESOME!
