Signed up in feb 2020. It just ended so about 8 months. and no i didnt cancel it (since i heard if you do, it ends it quick). Even watched an episode a couple days ago

Had issues right from the beginning. Even on the offer page, it would say free for 1 year but as soon as i claimed it, it asked for a credit card and an immediate charge of $5.99 per a month (not even a 7 day free trial!) Complained with apple support and they gave me a code that shows expiry in Feb 2021.

I heard apple is extending the trial for some people so maybe they're taking time away from another set of users hoping they wont notice? lol

Of course Apple isn't "taking time away from another set of users ..." Just call or chat with Support again to get your trial reinstated.

I did. They gave me a code but the system wouldn’t let me redeem it. Seems like the manual approach can only be used once (and I already took that approach when it first glitched). Apple TV isnt all that great so probably not worth the hassle to fight them about. Guess Ill have to finish watching the current show from “another place”.

Seems apple services are just as glitchy as catalina/ios13! Exhibit B: I only use 2GB of my iCloud space and it uses 80 GB of network bandwidth per day syncing the same files over and over 24/7. Disabling iCloud was the only solution.

Zero issues with the trial. It's even been extended for free by Apple.

First time I have even heard of anyone needing to manually enter a code to activate their free trial... let alone twice.
