when we all fist updated to iOS 11, toggling WiFi off in control center would only disconnect the current connection. As soon as you came in contact with another known network WiFi would automatically reconnect. There were lots of threads on these pages asking about it.
Recently I’ve noticed this behavior has stopped. Now when I toggle WiFi off in the control sender, it stays off even when moving to another known network area. It’s off until I reactive in control center.
Did Apple change this quietly on the latest update?
Anyone else notice this? I’ve see that the threads asking about this have stopped.

The behavior is still the same as it was originally in iOS 11 as that has been the intended behavior. For more about it and the latest in regards to any related changes you can take a look at https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...center-wi-fi-bluetooth-functionality.2088157/
