Did Apple change their System Management controller settings?

The reason I am asking this question is because my MacBook's fans have started to kick it into high gear these past few days. Normally, under heavy load, my fans would keep my computer around 190F, with the fans hovering around 4000 RPM. But over the past few days, under heavy load, my MacBook keeps my temps in between 160-180 with the fans in between 5000 RPM and 6000 RPM. So my question is, has apple changed their default values to run everything? Or is my MacBook doing this on its own accord.
