A base titanium model includes cellular and a new strap - $799. Didn’t this used to run $900 or more?

Similar dynamic with iPhone (prices are the same as last year despite inflation elsewhere).

I’m thinking about locking in prices on these products this year and holding for a while

Yes, compared to pretty much everything else consumers buy, worldwide, apple managed to give consumers an Effective DISCOUNT on all these items. I would have at least thought everything would be 5-10% higher (and in countries where their currency has dropped against the all mighty dollar by 10-20% this year apple DID raise prices earlier in the year).

but they either are eating some of this (most likely not) or they managed to really work their suppliers to keep costs and pricing steady. It’s quite a stroke for apple going into this Q4’2022

Supply chain strain has eased somewhat, as has transport costs, so I'm sure they're making it up in those and other ways.

The product they did raise the price on was the M2 Air, which had an all new chassis that hasn't had the costs amortized yet.
