Did Apple finaly get rid of the restocking fee?

I see a lot of articles about Apple potentially getting rid of their restocking fee around January 12. Did this actually occur? I'm talking about at the retail stores. Thanks.

Yeah that was the story I was referring to. It said they it was expected that apple would remove their restocking fees, but did it really happen? Those notes on the website are confusing. I guess I will have to go to an apple store and give them the 10th degree. I know they used to put the 10% restocking fee on your receipt directly.

You're kidding right? Where is there mention of a restocking fee? Anyway, best to call Apple if you feel as though the answers here are inadequate.

No restocking fee in Dallas

The apple store that I go to in Dallas, on Knox Street, doesn't charge a restocking fee and they are pretty open and up frong about it too.
