Apple just released the video about, Liam – An Innovation Story, the robot that disassembles the iPhone and recycles its parts. It shows an iPhone, without a protruding lens, being disassembled. Was this a mistake?

No, not a mistake. It's just a nice commercial using AI graphics, not real. Just like they do with movies. Rumored 7's will be coming out later. We get posts from a member each and ever year releasing what they think is something of a new phone in a picture or movie that turn out not to be the phone itself. Apple will not make this kind of mistake.
