Did Apple nerf the AOD on series 5 with Watch OS7?

Maybe it is some kind of placebo, but it seems dimmer after upgrading, in contrast, this will make the series 6 look a lot brighter with the new 2.5 increase. Can somebody who has two series 5 watches, one running os 6 and one with os 7 compare please. I‘m sure I am wrong on this, but it sure seems dimmer after upgrading.

Looks identical to me, went straight from the main release of 6.2.8 to GM 7.0.
