Guaranteed. I’m confident Microsoft developers are already working hard to integrate notch support into Windows 11 because their laptop license customers started asking for it the day the new MacBooks were shown.
All laptop manufacturers have been trying to come up with a solution for the quality camera vs. small bezel problem for years, and Covid work-at-home changes have only exacerbated it.
Expect most high end windows laptops to have the notch in a year or two.
I actually think the notch makes even more sense on laptops than phones, as laptops have enough screen real estate to work around it easier. And simple software can alleviate any downsides easily.
People want way way better cameras. And it’s either notch or huge gap on top. Notch is clearly superior, as you get to use that space in either side for something other than blank space. Cutouts and behind screen cameras will likely never be as high quality because of their inherent technical limitations and lack of space for additional sensors that help with quality.
Should be interesting to see what Microsoft decides to do. Maybe they will use the space for notifications or something different.

Apple jinxed the photocopiers this time
That would make sense, except for the fact that those currently occupy the right side of the Windows 10/11 task bar. So it doesn't add usable space.
