I was trying to find the unsubsidized price of the 16GB 3G but the premier site only lists the 8gb 3G at $499 along with the 3g s's.

Well it was for a limited time, and was barely advertised. I imagine you could find one at AT&T or Apple if you called around. Or you could not be dumb and pay $50 more for a significantly better phone.

I saw it in walmart lol.

It said "rollback prices" with the 8 gig at $99 and 16 gig at $150 or 70. I don't remember like I said.

Was this recently?

This was the case before the 3GS was released but as far as I know they're not for sale anymore.

No, you can still get the 3G 16gig for either $150 or $170. Don't remeber which, but you can...

While Supplies Last.

They are no longer making the 16GB 3G...only the 8GB...and only in Black. So you may be able to find them at those prices...but only while remaining stock lasts. Apple probably pulled their stock of them and are probably only using them for warranty replacements at this point.

They are only selling the remaining 8GB 3G for $99 until they run out of stock, so yes, the 16GB is discontinued.

I don't think the $99 8GB 3G is an "until they run out" clearance-type deal. I think that's the base model to reach the $99 price point. I have never heard Apple or AT&T say that will be available "while supplies last."

The 8GB 3G is still in production and is sold for $100.

Hmmmmm....so it wasn't just in candyland???

The question is: Did AT&T drop the 3G 16GB?
The answer is: Yes.

While they are clearing out the existing stock of these, availability is limited and certainly not guaranteed.

The others were simply pointing out that you post was misleading.

I want trying to answer the question, I was just saying that you still can get a 3G 16gig. Which you can.

But I see what you mean.
