Hey Guys,

I sent in some G-SKill Ram for my Mid 2009 MacBook Pro 17 Inch with a 2.8 Intel Core 2 Duo to be replaced. They replaced it with DDR3-1333 PC3-10666 CL9-9-9-24 So-Dimm. 4096MB X 2

Will this work with my machine?

Thanks!?

It's a faster speed than the memory that comes standard with your macbook pro. Yours originally came with a PC3-8500 SO-DIMM, not PC3-10666. It will probably still work with no problems. I'm not a 100% sure, but it should overclock and run okay. I don't have any experience with it though, so maybe someone else will jump in here that is running faster memory in their macbook pro.
