Did google change how my touch bar interacts with youtube!?

Hey all!

Dunno if this is a conspiracy theory or not but before I downloaded chrome, when using youtube with safari I could do the following;

1. Skip ads
2. Scroll through the video


After installing and using chrome, and then realizing I cant do the same, I uninstalled chrome and went back to safari.. However...

Now I cant skip ads OR scroll through the video.

What happened!? Im freaking out here thinking maybe google installed a block or something on my touch bar..

Any fix?
