Hi, To sum it all up before attempting I was on an iphone 2g running 2.2.1 jailbroken and unlocked. I wanted to upgrade to iphone 3.0. So I just opened itunes and hit update and now my iphone still works and it is on 3.0. I thought that when I did that, it would brick itself until I use redsnow. I am not jailbroken anymore but i do not need it jailbroked. T-mobile works fine. Should I go about using red snow or should I just use it how it is? Right now it does what it should. Thanks!

Strange. What bootloader did you have when you were on 2.2.1? Maybe it upgraded the firmware but didn't flash the baseband. I thought it would brick the phone when you updated using iTunes like that.
