I hope this is right place to post.
So I had several issues with OS and somewhat of a worry about potential malicious thing. I went for clean install, but ****ed up. Put my Macintosh HD into erase, but it froze... and in my amazing brilliance, I decided it was good idea to force shut. After restart I found HD was gone. Totally gone. Then made new HD from Apple HDD, but after restarting again, to try to use Internet Recovery to just reset to factory settings, everything was black. Had to take Mac to technician who installed OS back.
My question is - if there was something bad in there, did it get wiped out even if I ****ed up with erase? After all, tech-support put new OS there. Or could anything from previous HD survive and sneak to new OS?
