I bought a "for parts or repair only" Early 2013 MacBook Pro 15 Retina for $400.

It's the base model, so nothing too fancy.

Initially, I wasn't too interested until I saw that cosmetically, it looks like it just came out of the box.

Opening up the bottom cover, I made sure that there isn't any signs of liquid damage.

Walking into the Apple Store, I had it repaired for free under the "Repair Extension Program for Video Issues".

You got a good deal. Not a steal but not bad at all. I remember buying one that had a dead battery (of course the guy didn't tell me this) but it was under recall and I got a new one.

In addition to the logic board (refurbished), I also got a new screen and a new top case w/ battery.

Not sure why those were replaced, but under Symptom, it just said "(multi)"
