I read all of these cases and incidents with cracking, network problems, wifi, overheating yet i have not yet experienced these problems with my 3G S which comes to my question, did i get the almost perfect iPhone 3G S?..Was i just lucky? I don't baby it or do not have it in a case...it just seems a little ironic to me..i get 3-5 bars 3G almost everywhere..wifi works well..everythign works well..the build of the phone itself feel strong and doesnt seem like it will break on a drop unless ofc its on the screen..tell me your opinions on this and if your iphone is just like mines.

its really not that rare of an occurrence, not to put you down. The only reason it seems like it is because the people like you (and me) are the ones who dont post stuff complaining about the problems

you are probably going to drop your iphone tonight after writing this whole paragraph about how perfect the phone is.

I'm trying to understand lol but I can't. Can someone help me lol

do you really not understand the metaphor?

ok he's saying that there are only sick people (or mostly sick people) at hospitals. I mean why else go to a hospital if you aren't sick... maybe just to visit someone.

The same rule applies here. if ppl come to iphone forums to post about their iphone experiences of course they would only do so because there is some sort of error. not many ppl would have the desire to come here to start a thread saying "wow my iphone is perfect with no flaws!!" you are a bit of an anomaly ;)

also mac fanboys are anal retentive. TheSpaz, case and point :)

well lets just say he's quite a regular here. There are a few ppl that tend to become household names :)

He's been know to use MacRumors as his personal blog to talk about minor iphone mishaps and such. I have nothing against the man, he's just a bit OCD :)

Edit: for example he downgraded from 3.0 to 2.2.1 to enhance fluid icon separation animations while opening and closing apps. and minor color and font tweaks :p

If you owned a three legged dog would you take it in the backyard and shoot it?

Of course not.
We should think of our iPhones as we do our pets.
Not perfect, but they're ours.

Then I have pretty bad luck or I'm too picky. Every iPhone 3GS I've owned was bad and almost every single display model at the Apple Store had flaws.

I'd still say it's a rare occurrence to get a perfect iPhone.

+1, I agree. I haven't had any problems with wifi or the lack of 3g. I did notice alittle over heating but my 3g did the same (the same goes for all my friends iPhones.)

If you go to a hospital and hang out long enough, you will think everyone is sick. Same with hanging out here... :D

I would also add:

"If you go to a hospital and hang out long enough, you will think everyone is sick. Same with hanging out here...Only difference is here people claim they weren't the ones who made themselves sick most of the time."

Who would have thought that we could have the best analogy, and the worst analogy both in the same thread ... It's incredible.

On a separate note, I'm very satisfied with my iPhone. It does have a slight light leak, but I couldn't care less about it.

What do you mean?
Taking my iPhone out back and shooting it because it froze was the wrong thing to do? o.o

;)

People (aside from you) generally don't make threads to say "my iPhone didn't break."

Just a suggestion, but I think you should be more like them :p
