Well, the bf's iPhone that is - he wanted to sell it to get the 5S, since I'm getting one too since mine got stolen. Anyway, it has maybe one or two tiny scratches but it mostly looks perfect. It works perfect. There's a kiosk in the mall that buys used iPhones. The sign says "Iphone 5 $200-$450". She looked at it and asked me how much I wanted. I said 275 :/ She said done deal.

I probably should've asked for $375, right?

She said she''d give me $100 for my 4S, and that has a bunch of dings on it.

It's not the end of the world, cos I just wanted to get enough to cover most of the cost of the new 5S, and with the 100 from my 4S, and $275 from the 5 I'll have almost $400, so that's fine.

But did I ask for too little? It's 64 gig btw.

way too low. i sold mine for $600 on ebay and some were going for more than that.

I just sold my iPhone 4S Black Verizion 64 GB on eBay for $315.00 so I would say you should of asked for more...

Low, yes. But don't stress about it, in the end it's a relatively inexpensive consumer item over the course of a lifetime of consumption.

Accepting a low bid on your house -- that's when you stress.

Just remember, the one who says a number first, loses.

Wow, $275 for a 65GB iPhone 5? Oof :(

Next time get them to give you an offer, then ask us on Macrumors if its a good deal BEFORE selling it.

You could of gotten more for the 4s but no biggie. Figure this... how much did you pay for it? How long did you use/enjoy it? How much did you get for it? OK, now, average all that and what was the cost of your ownership?

Think of it in those terms and you made out just fine. Could you of made more? Sure. Are you done with the hassle of trying to sell your iPhones to get the new one? Yes.

You're a winner either way. You easily got rid of your old phones and have the coin to get your new one.

At a mall kiosk? 275 is not bad. If you sold on CL or eBay for that, I'd say you got had.

Don't listen to these people. They are wrong. You got a decent amount, as it was easy. You don't know what that Place would have paid above that, and its futile speculating

Don't look back.

Your mistake? Coming hear and asking people. :D

Nah. She said it had a few scratches.

That lowers the price. She maybe lost 30-35 bucks in GameStop money. No big.

maybe/probably still more than what she got and I'm quoting hard cash btw not credit which gets even more... but I didn't include lightning cables so if she were to trade the cables it would be an extra $20 hard cash

The "Good" quote on GameStop was 312 and change.

$600? Must be nice, my perfect condition 64GB 5S has a $451 trade lock-in. I have a local buyer from Craigslist offering me $450 in cash on Saturday.

Someone emailed me offering $350 and I almost told him off. Please, I'll trow it against the wall before I give it away!

I knew it. I don't know why the hell I said $275. In the end though, I'm still covering most of the price of a new phone, so I'm not too bummed.

I didn't sell the 4S yet, was going to do that tomorrow after I get my new phone. Maybe if it's a different person at the kiosk I'll ask $150, or maybe I'll check out Game Stop, I had no idea they even bought phones.

Right now I need to go shower, cos I'm off to wait in line later tonight. Thanks for the replies :)
