Did I go overkill?

Thinking about returning one of the displays and having one external and the internal up on the stand.

I think whether it's overkill depends on what you are using the computer for

For viewing porn, maybe.

For editing 4K video in Final Cut, it’s just right.

I feel like I should return the stand and just go clamshell with two externals. When I do that though, I feel like I am wasting the fingerprint sensor, speakers, and Touch Bar.

I like your setup. Honestly, I would keep both of them unless you're strapped for cash and need the $ return. Just my opinion.

I always liked having matching sized monitors so I used the laptop in clamshell mode. Haven’t had a touchbar so not an issue but I could see how it could be a problem.

I decided on this route....cleaner and more desk space.

If you call it overkill, at some point my setup was like this -

Just depends on what you do and if you need them.

Now my setup mostly looks like this -

I’ve upgraded the Mac from an old Air to a speced up Pro though.
