Did I just kill my iBook?

Hi,
This is my first time posting, but I read here a lot. I just got a new 2.4 Santa Rosa MBP, so I was doing a clean reinstall of Tiger onto my old iBook because it will be going to my parents. It was on disk one and installing when all of the sudden it shut off. Now, it won't even turn on. The OS DVD is also now stuck in my optical drive. Does anyone know what could possibly be wrong with it? It's still under AppleCare, and I just want an idea before I take it in. It was working without any problems. Thanks!

Thanks. I tried that, but no luck. It shut off in the middle of reinstalling the OS. If it helps, it's a G4 purchased in August of 05. Any other ideas?

do you hear the starting sound or not? you could remove the battery for a while, put it back and try again.

Do you have AppleCare? It sounds like you'll need to send it to AppleCare to get it repaired.

No starting sound at all. I can't even hear anything move when I put it up to my ear. It looks like I'll be visiting the genius bar tomorrow.
