Hey guys,

I have been in the market for my first AW. I know this has been topic has been covered time and time again...

I was initially looking at the Series 5, and from what I've read, the only difference is the AOD and the increased storage (16 compared to 32gb) I plan on using it for basic functions, no real heavy app usage or music/podcasts.

I stumbled across the Stainless Steel Series 4 on sale at Best Buy for $399 usually $699 and i ordered it. I felt like there was a HUGE value and savings with that deal. Here are my questions:

1. Is 16 gb enough for basic use? No serious apps or music/podcasts. I just would hate to buy it and have the storage filled up right away.

2. I know the SS models are all "cellular." I have Verizon, but I DO NOT plan on using the cellular feature, I just want to use it like the GPS version. The model I ordered is the "unlocked" version. Will I be able to use this as a GPS model even though it has the cellular?

3. Lastly, does the Stainless Models need a case? I ordered a Spiegen case for it, but not sure if that's over-kill considering it's stainless.

Thank you for all of your help!

For your intended use you made the right choice. I would not ugly up the SS with a case though. The SS will incurr micro scratches but, they can be buffed away if that bothers you. You will be able to use the watch as a gps only model without activating cellular. if your not storing anything on the watch memory doesn’t matter.

Great choice imo. Especially for your first apple watch

Good choice. If you’re not going to load up music or podcasts you don’t need more storage. Cases are insanely ugly to me so I’d go with no lol.

great choice, my AW4 is pristine after 14+ months still, and I do not have cellular activated, and me personally, I would not put a case on the watch, nor a screen protector

Thanks again for the feedback! Can’t wait to pick it up on Friday. I still can’t believe that these were selling for $700 and I got it at $400 at Best Buy with their early Black Friday sale. Don’t find a deal like that all too often
