Hey guys, I bought an i7 17" MBP about a month ago, and I decided not to opt for the matte display, since I didn't think it was worth the extra $45 dollars. Did I make a mistake not getting this? Is there anyway to change the display at a latter date?

You cannot get the screen changed to matte without replacing the screen itself.

As with whether or not it's a mistake… if the glossy display is working out for you right now then it should be fine; if it isn't then you would need to replace the screen, but again that's expensive.

if need be, in the future, you can get a matte film to place over the screen. although it may not be as high quality as a stock matte MBP, you will not be annoyed by any glare on the display. also a plus, the glass on the glossy models adds to the structural rigidity of the computer.
