Did I mess up by getting a PATA enclosure?

I got an aluminum PATA 3.5" hard-drive enclosure and a Western Digital Caviar. It's too loud; it as a really high-pitched noise to it. I've heard the Samsung Spinpoint is supposed to be quiet, but they seem to be gone. Is everyone using SATA now? What should I do, are there any other quiet ones?

I really would like two drives so one can be just for backups and archiving, so I just need one quiet one.
