Did iOS 10 break Boxer (Pro)?

I've been using Boxer (Pro) with my ActiveSync/Exchange mail account for a while, on my iPad Pro and iPhone 6s. On iOS 9 it works, on iOS 10 it stopped working - doesn't load the message body's any longer. It still works on my iPad (IOS 9), but doesn't on my iPhone (iOS 10).

Do we have any Boxer users here to confirm this? I am afraid that Boxer is out of development - they haven't updated since December 2015 and they were acquired by VMWare for some reason...

The developer confirmed it's a known issue, they are working on an update. In the meantime this free version can be used (seems a more updated version released under the vmware branding):
