I'm rocking a 6+ paired with a Series 1 until my upgrade to the 8+ is processed thought TMobile.

This past week, I upgraded the software on the phone and have found the calories, even in workout mode MUCH more difficult to obtain. Example, I jump rope often and have for the past two years burned ~10 calories/minute. After the update I'm burning ~6 calories per minute.

I went on a couple walks that I do routinely and the calorie burn is very predictable, but now is having a similar reduction. Curious if anyone else has experienced this and if there's a fix.

Thanks for any input!

My indoor walks are always unpredictable and usually burn about double the calories of an outdoor walk. It is super frustrating. I usually walk a circle around my work outside. I had forgotten about these issues until I went to calibrate my watch first lap done indoor burned 140 calories. Then the lap to calibrate burned 80 with same distance and higher heart rate.

Have you checked your Health app, specifically the Height and Weight in the Body Measurements section? I've seen this happen before where the height and weight got change and it drastically affected how many calories / exercise minutes were recorded.

Thanks! It was set to my 17 year old daughter's info which is QUITE a bit different than mine. We share an Apple ID and not surprising that it might revert to hers after the update

Just updated it and will ck later.

Thanks you!

My walks (mixed with a little jogging) were almost always like clockwork. It was off the other day by a pretty large margin and only registered 150 calories burned for a 2.10 mile walk/run. I'm not looking for exact numbers, but mainly consistency. Looks like I may have found the culprit though.
