Did the answer call screen always do this?

When someone calls me it says "Slide to answer"
This is my first iphone but doesn't it usually show a green and red button that you hit to reject or deny the call? How do i deny the call now?

That is when it is locked. When it is unlocked, you will get a red and green button.

Depends if the phone is locked or not. If the phone is locked it gives the "Slide to Answer". If you are using the phone and get a call you get the 2 different options.

It shows the accept or deny screen when your phone is unlocked. To deny a call when the phone is locked just hit the power or volume buttons twice,just once will mute it.
