Did the Firmware Update Just Brick my Linkstation?

I have a Buffalo Linkstation attached to an AEBS for Time Machine backups. Except, TM hasn't been able to access the the LS since 5/28...which I think coincides with the firmware update to the AEBS.

Is this possible? That the update just bricked (door-stopped?) my 8TB NAS?

To answer my own question..."No".

I updated the LinkStation firmware and it's working again. Whew! I was reliving WD ShareSpace nightmares where any Mac update would kill TimeMachine backups, and WD gave up even trying to update their firmware.
