I remember in the past that when our little ones would get a hold of our iPad and started hitting numbers to get into it the iPad would lock out access and it would say something like "locked out for 5 minutes" and we'd just have to wait to get back in. However, this morning our 4 year old grabbed the iPad out of my wife's bag before she left to work and entered a bunch of incorrect pins and locked her out except it doesn't let her in after a set amount of time.

Is this something that changed in iOS7???

Many thanks in advance for any insight!

**I did find a link on the apple website about hooking up to iTunes and performing a set number of steps to get back in but just need to understand if that is the ONLY way to get back in as well as what happened to the timed lockout from before**

I never heard of a timed lock out...originally it was after 10 failed attempt it would lock you out then you would have to hook it up to your computer/ iTunes account to get it back.
