My brother connected the ipad to his computer and was updating the firmware of the device when he suddenly decide to connect his ipod touch to another usb. Result : Ipad is dead now. Ipod touch is fine but the Ipad just does not start up.

What are my options at this point?

Thanks all

is there a new firmware update? try to restore it thru itunes. of course if you ipad was jailbroken then there are no guarantees that it fill function. bu try to connect it to itunes and press the restore button. if that doesnt work let it charge and boot it to the dfu mode (holding both home and sleep button for some time) and the plug it to itunes. if theres no success then you have successfully bricked you ipad and can send it back to apple to repair.
