Did the Magic Mouse get an update?

I am in the market for a new Magic Mouse and I remember a while back there was talk of an impending update. That was maybe a month ago now.

Does anyone know if it did in fact receive an update?

I'm hoping they fixed the range, my current MM range is crap with my MacBook.
