i tried to update my 3g. and the only option was to restore so idid it. then after it says extracting software it went on to preparing iphone to restore and then after a minute or so. it said the iphone could not be restored due to an unknown error (21) i kept doing the process for like 5 times now and it was the same. i restarted my macbook. and it was still the same. now my iphne only says connect to itunes. plsssssssss guys help me out if you can. i think my phone is bricked. i desperately need your help guys.

Try putting the iPhone into DFU mode and restoring in iTunes that way.

thank you guys for responding so quickly. but ive managed to sort it out. by restoring it on my other user account. it seems that the hacked carrier file on my itunes messed it all up well i think anyways.. by the way dfu woudnt work because its already on connect to itunes starup screen. and ive learned 1 thing here me on panic mode does not help either loooool. thanks alot again
