Because in OS6, I've looked and looked, and it seems that once you purchase a ringtone from iTunes Store, you will NOT be able to (freely) re-download it again if it should ever be lost (e.g. you forgot to synch it with your Mac).
Notice that Music and Apps work differently, because anyone can carelessly or "accidentally" (or intentionally) delete their Angry Birds app once or twice, and Apple will always allow them to re-download past purchases. All your previous Music and App purchases are there in the Cloud, waiting for you to re-download it again in the future (perhaps to your brand new iPhone 7S or whatever). What annoys me is that Ringtones is not part of this setup. Why?? It's just a damned audio file, really no different than an iTunes music track.
I'd hope they would add ringtones to the Cloud-saved purchases for iOS7. Anyone tested this with an iOS7-beta iPhone yet?
