I have a number of WD MyBook drives, but usually I am welcomed by many unexpected drive shutdowns. Story is that WD drives go into power down before macOS is able to do it. Changing the timeouts does not help much.

As a bonus you loose the favorite folders of those drives in Finder if they are open.

This morning, no warnings. Has it been fixed after 2 years ? It used to be working fine, think in 10.11 or 10.12.

Really? That would be amazing! ....If not for the fact, that my mediacenter Mac Mini 2011 didn't make the Mojave cut.. I've only been waiting for a fix since 10.7 Lion introduced external drive sleep problems... >_<
