Did Thunderbolt update fix your noisey fan?

Have owned the display for ~2 months. Fan noise started a few weeks ago.
Just updated with Thunderbolt fan noise fix: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1453

Made NO difference. Still have very noisey fan.

Now what? Pack it up and take it back to Apple store...

Is this something specific to connecting an MB Air to the ATD? Mine is connected to my iMac 27" and even when my iMac's fans are spinning hard (when I'm hammering the CPUs) the ATD is silent. I should note that all my USB and FW800 devices are connected to the ATD and Ethernet goes into the iMac.

It made no difference because the fan issue most likely isn't because of the monitor; it's either due to adobe flash player or the intel graphics HD3000 driver not using hardware acceleration to play back video, due to some software bug/glitch that disables said acceleration when viewing video on a TB display.

Workaround: don't use adobe flash. Your fan will behave then.

Not using flash is always a good idea in other situations as well, in my experience...

I think you are incorrect. The OP is talking about fans in his Thunderbolt Display... Not the the fans in his computer.
