So, it's been a good couple days since people started complaining about the battery life on the 2.6Ghz 15 inch MBP and I'm wondering, how are your results? Did it get better? Worse? Stayed the same? I'm on the fence and I'm wondering if the 2.6Ghz is worth the price and if the battery life is impacted compared to the 2.3Ghz. Also, how's the heat on the machine?

Mine got better... right now, I have 82% battery life and that equals to 5 hours and 10 minutes.

just on second charge and shows 88% and 3:43 left. Hope it gets better. Was doing a lot of iPhoto work, plus browser, plus Spotify

Saw an interesting review where someone using the 2.3GHz burned out all the battery life on high load in ~1 hour 37 mins. If you really want to kill the battery, its pretty easy.... lol

Yup, battery life estimates have greatly improved :). I have stopped monitoring it. Very happy with battery life in real world usage, was able to edit FCPX for 4 hours on battery life!

I'm curious how owners of the 2.6 Ghz 15" have seen the battery life change over the last 8+ months. Has it increased for anyone? Are more owners seeing 8+ hours?

Is anyone using the 2013 2.6GHz/16GB/1TB/750m MBP and can comment on battery life? I'm curious how far you can push battery life with the dedicated GPU switched off and light usage etc.
