I decided to switch it up and get white. I was worried a little in the store when I saw the black airs and thought they looked better. I like the white a lot though so no regrets.

I got the Black one. I was sorry to see the slate back from the Mini go, as I much prefer it to Space Grey, but since I immediately put it into a Smart Case, the back doesn't really matter to me anyway.
My last iPad was a mini which was white but went with a black/space grey to match my iPhone and it's actually taking a little getting used to. I just may prefer a white tablet and I black phone.
Black! I can't stand the white iPads for some reason. Besides, my convertible is all black, so I can lay my iPad on the front seat with the top down, and it'll be invisible.
Always black. I have never liked an electronics device in white. Probably explains why I liked my Sega Genesis over Super Nintendo. Why I switched my launch Dreamcast for a Sports Bundle, and why I bought a new 360 as soon as the Elites came out.
So no regrets at all. Black shows dust and fingerprints more than white. And yet I never regret the option.
After black iphone and black ipad 3, this is my first white ios device.
I think the white air looks more luxurious because the silver chamfered edge shows more prominently than the edge on the black/space gray.
One other major benefit of white air over black is that the white bezel does not reflect ceiling lights like my black ipad 3 did. It would be annoying to see my ceiling spot light reflected in the bezel as I tried to read. The white appears to be less reflective.
Space grey for the black bezel, had a white iPad 2 before I swapped it for black. I think the white bezel is distracting when watching video or reading at night time.
