Apparently this was done in order to create a secure holding platform for his iPod. It's basically a few magnetic studs rooted under the skin in the wrist area to hold it in watch style. I personally don't have a problem with it, since it's his body he should be able to do what he wants. It's a pretty neat idea I think. Be aware that there is a little blood in the video, so discretion is advised.
