I saw that today when my sisters boyfriend asked if I could restore an old powerbook g4 for him. It looks like it just opens up apples website. The powerbook is running 10.3.9
 
Yes, it did come with Tiger at least, and I removed it every time. I don't know about Jaguar and Panther though, as that was so long ago.

Yep had it all these years with Tiger and kinda just forgot about it. I don't even think I remembered what it did, but decided not to mess with it back then. It looked important, and was next to a vital utility (trash can).

Just sort of noticed it again today (snow leopard now), what with all of the iTunes 10 icon talk :cool: Guess I'll zap it. Don't need a dock icon to Apple's website, even if it looks cool :D
 
Me too. That, and moving the System Preferences icon next to the Finder icon, which I still do on any of my user accounts.
 
Yep got rid of it and the System Preferences from the Dock long ago. It's just as easy to get to System Preferences from the Apple :apple: menu.
