Did you keep your Apple Watch after buying the Ultra?

I just purchased the Apple Watch Ultra about 10 minutes ago, sucks I have to wait until November to get it, but nothing I can do about that lol. I wanted to wait to order until I saw it at the Apple Store in person.

So now my big decision is when the Ultra does deliver, do I sell my Series 7 SS or keep it?

What did you all do? Maybe keep the Series 7 and wear when wanting a dressier look? I have a beautiful polished SS Band for the Series 7, although I have only worn it with that band twice.

Like many, I have a ton of bands for the Apple Watch, from the sport bands to a few leather bands.
 
I kept mine. I just use my AW7 for jogging on the treadmill. I didn’t want to keep changing bands when working out.

my Ti S7 is now my sleep tracking watch ...
Check your local store for inventory frequently, you might find one.

That is a good idea, to possibly keep my Series 7 SS as my sleep tracking watch and just keep the Ultra on the charger at night possibly as an option.
 
When I had the ultra (which I returned), i did use my SBTi AW 7 as a sleep tracking watch. Only reason why i returned the ultra recently was that I didn't like the alpine and didn't like the ocean band either. Only left is the trail band but I'm sure I'll love the trail band because I do like the velcro on the sports band so I'm sure the trail band will be comfortable.

I put my S7 in drawer because value to sell isn’t enough for me. I’ll give to my kid or something.
Order from another place…I ordered 4 days ago, came today.

FWIW my S7 is my every other day sleep tracker, my Ultra is at appr 30% by the end of the 2nd day…
I would have traded in my S7 but it’s not worth anything so I rather keep it.

Sorta funny that such an expensive watch gets demoted to tracking sleep, but then again, titanium watches seem to depreciate fast. I bought both a natural and space black Edition for under $200 each just a few months ago. (Series 5, though.)

Yea, and at 849 it was even more expensive than the Ultra. I might pass it down, unclear, certainly not going to sell it for half price. And if I pass it down, I still have my SBSS S4 that was my sleep tracker since the 7, and I got it replaced under AC+ about 15 months ago…
So yea, AWs esp SS/Ti don’t hold value but that has not been unknown to me, so I’ll bite that bullet.

color me jealous. I mean, I have old watches too, and I daily switch between 4 different S5 models. I really miss my SBSS though. I had a S4 for a while then a S5 briefly, but both got sold in pursuit of growing the collection.

I've never experienced above a S5, I'm waiting for used prices on the gold stainless S7 models to drop so I can collect. The plan is to eventually have one of every Stainless & Ceramic case material, but I don't know hoe feasible that is for now. Ceramic S5 prices are way way higher than they have any right to be.

I passed the 7 down to one of my kids who was wearing a 3. I do have an incredible junk yard of some watches and phones. So anymore, I try and make purchases that have “my environment” in mind. I would not be getting a new watch this year if it weren’t for the fact the Ultra will serve daily wear for me at least 3-4 years, if not 5. I am still using a 11 pro max (1/2 T) and if I decide to get 15 ultra, I will have “used” and “reduced” the battery over 4 years. I am one of those people who easily can get the latest whenever I want, so it brings me a little joy to hang on longer than the average bear.

Well, I never intended this to happen, but here I am. I would have gotten the SBSS 7 if it would have been available other than as Hermes, the jump from 4 to 7 was big with the AOD, but the jump from 7 to Ultra fees even bigger. So I’m happy, no regrets.

I was going to trade in my AW7 for the Ultra but canceled the trade in with Apple ($155) and as soon I got the Ultra (Sep 23rd) put my AW7 for sale on FB Marketplace and sold it in less than 48 hours for $300.

If you have the silver SS - Keep it - That's a really good looking watch. Odds are that there will be times when you look down at that Ultra monster on your wrist and you'll want to, at least for a while, switch back to something that's not so accursedly blatant.

All my bands are Apple Brand.
