As someone pointed out in another thread, your Pandora app is for some reason associated with your PHONE and not your account. You have to sign out of it before wiping the data or before deleting the app, or otherwise, the person you sell the phone to will have access to your account on the phone.
I forgot to do this, by I emailed Pandora customer service and asked them to disassociate all devices from my account. It was quick and easy.
