I ordered yesterday around 1:00 pm PST on att.com premier website and my cc still hasn't been charged, I'm a little worried. I called my cc company and they don't even see a pre-authorization. Who else is in the same situation? Is this normal? I called an AT&T rep today and she told me that you get charged when your iPhone ships but that's not what I been hearing in some of theses forums or maybe that was from apple.com

Same for me. I ordered via Premier at 8:30am PT yesterday, and my CC charge didn't show up until about 9:00am today.

I'm in the same boat as you and I ordered mine at 1:30 AM PST lol. Still no budge in my account.
 
I ordered yesterday and had my order accepted, with confirm emails, a few minutes about 7AM Central time. My credit card showed no activity yesterday. Today it is apparent there is an authorization from AT&T but no actual charge yet. I suspect they won't put an actual charge through until it is shipped or at least until they print the shipper on their system and assign a phone.
 
I just got of the phone with a rep from at&t's premier order status help line (866-499-8008). She told me that the funds get taken out of your account within 24 to 48 hours. She checked my cc number and said all is well. She also said that if you ordered on the 24th of June that your iPhone will arrive on the 25th.

I would suggest everyone that is in the same situation as me to call the number above and ask if everything is OK with your cc payment. I been reading that some peoples cc payments get wrongfully declined.

After I initially ordered I got hit with 2 $1 charges and then I was charged $213 and some change, which is currently pending. The 2 $1 charges have fallen off. I don't mind being charged for it now, just make sure I have my i4 on the 24th is all I'm saying though :cool:
 
AT&T is totally FUBAR

I placed my preorder with AT&T Premier yesterday at noon.

I just got two email notifications from my bank a few minutes ago, each showing an immediate deduction of $213.

The problem is that I only placed one order for one 16GB iPhone 4 on their site.

I'm on the phone with AT&T right now, they can't even verify the order number I received from their email, giving me two order numbers that I have no record of. Luckily, they are identical orders going to my place of residence, so it doesn't seem to be a breach of security yet. I've decided to cancel both orders and press my luck with the two reservations at the Apple store.

Of course, they don't know how to handle the cancellations, so they're going to have to call me back. Of course, I'm still out $426 on my checking account until this gets resolved.

Not a happy camper. I'm a forgiving person, but so far and after thinking long and hard about it, I've confirmed that AT&T hasn't done anything positive since 2007.

UPDATE: They are canceling both of the orders and I will be refund the money within 24-72 hours.

UPDATE UPDATE: They are having difficulty canceling the orders and will have to get back to me.
 
AT&T put a $502.82 hold on my account today for two 16GB upgrades. Lousy California tax... I'm just happy it's being processed.
 
You must have nothing but time to waste. I fail to see any logic in doing this, what so ever.

First, they are not guaranteeing a June 24 delivery. I took the day off to take care of errands while being available to receive my preorders shipping from Apple, and since I have two reservations at Apple, I'll just use one and give away the other.

UPDATE: They just called me back, saying they're having difficulty canceling either order. I have totally lost confidence in AT&T.
 
im on day 2 trying to cancel my order on at&t premier but the network is overloaded, so i cant get through.
They denied my first order for my wife but they didnt say anything about mine but..... im trying to contact them to cancel the order but no luck

already have 2 orders confirmed for apple......

So you've tied up 4 phones on the pre-order when you only want one and people complain that they're running out and have their systems clogged! I understand that one of these might be an mistake, but really - why would you try to reserve more than you need? I imagine that thousands of people who couldn't get an order/reservation in at all are angry with people like you who have over booked their needs.

I just called and could only get the automated response, its like they took the phones off the hook. What a sham, 48 hrs that I cant get thru to a human now and get disconnected with a "try again later". Time will tell if it shows up or not. have one coming from apple that was jun 24th and magicaly changed to july 2nd :/
