iPhone 11 Pro Didn't "activate" on carrier when ordering new iPhone... what do I have to do?

It's been awhile since I ordered online and didn't select "activate" when I did my pre-order from Apple Store. What will I have to do when the phone arrives to have it take over my existing cell number?

Just take out your SIM card on your current phone you are using and insert that one to your new phone when you receive it. If you ordered a carrier model but choose "Activate Later" there still will be a SIM card inside it but you can just take that SIM card out.

Since I did purchase a VERIZON phone when buying on apple store, can I just call VERIZON and have them activate using the new sim inside?
