Didn't Apple drop restocking fees???

How come their website as well as sales receipts state otherwise? I even called up my local store and was told that there was no change in their Return and Refund Policy. What the F

Strange. Apple's official Sales and Refund policy only makes note of the restocking fee in the iPhone section.

I can attest that they did in fact drop restocking fees for certain situations. I, today, took a MBP 13" to exchange for a 15" and was not charged a restocking fee... He said had I been returning it, there would have been a restocking fee though.

I'm not sure what exactly is covered by the new no restocking fees, but I just returned 2 27" displays and sales agent mentioned he was glad Apple finally eliminated the restocking fees. This was ~2 weeks ago.

My experience was at both the Upper West Side and Fifth Avenue stores.

They have been doing that for awhile now.
