Seems like I remember a conference that preceded iPhone's 3.0's release that said the software could control audio on things like Bose's iPod / iPhone audio player... anybody else remember it? Where is it?

Its here and has been for awhile. You can control anything plugged in thats iphone compatible, even my home entertainment system at home thats only ipod compatible and not iphone compatible has limited control (play, and next song). I just get a warning on my phone when I plug it in. Wireless control works through your iTunes via the Remote app from the app store.
