Didn't the store go up at 5:30AM Eastern for the iPad?

It was 8:30 AM Eastern for the iPad (5:30 Pacific).

And in that case, the Apple Store didn't go down until well after 7 AM and then came back up promptly at 8:30.

Yeah, I stayed up all night waiting, and when 7:30 rolled around (Kansas) I preordered and passed out. Lol

AND, most importantly, in the case of the iPad, Apple was kind enough to tell us exactly when it would be available, in advance.

So no one had to stay up all night.

Ahh, thanks. Guess I'm still playing the waiting game.

It just occurred to me that I always get an email via my Mobile Me account when the iPad and every other new Apple product comes out. I'll wait until then to pre-order, if the pre-order email arrives.

Apple told us when to preorder. Now its just whenever they feel like it.
