on eBay, I find NVidia Quadro FX 5600 1.5GB for Mac, and then I see NVidia Quadro FX 4800 1.5GB from OWC and also on eBay, they appear to be the same price, with all the same specs, so I'm quite confused!

on OWC: OWC Link (MacSales)

Can anyone confirm these are/are not the same cards?

Kind Regards

While they do actually have very similar specifications the 4800 is using a different and newer GPU. It (4800) has more processing cores (192 vs 128) runs cooler/uses less power and supports OpenGL 3. You should buy the Quadro FX 4800, but only if you know you can utilize the video memory or are also working in another operating system. For OSX its basically a GTX 260 with more memory. The GTX 285 will probably out perform it.

Thanks for the info, I will probably need it, I need more than 512MB memory that I have at the moment..

Is it true NVidia is bring out the NVidia GTX 285 for Mac?

Kind Regards
