I find it odd that Apple is selling a T-Mobile unlocked 5S but not an unlocked 5S?

Will a T-Mobile 5S work on AT&T's LTE network?

And while I was at the Apple store a couple of days ago, I overheard an employee tell a lady that they're not selling unlocked iPhone 5S'...?

How can I buy one then at the store?

An officially GSM unlocked 5s (no SIM card in it) is not available "yet"... but will be eventually. Apple does this for reasons of their own. Mostly to protect carrier-attached sales the few weeks right after launch.

But my question is, will a T-Mobile 5S work perfectly fine on AT&T's LTE networks?

Is the 5S for T-Mobile: Model A1533 (GSM)?
