<Difference between box drive and box sync

I am using box in my work environment and have until now I use box sync app on the macbook pro to always have a access to my files but now i found the box drive app?
The box sync app is a cpu hog and drains battery when traveling so I happily change but whats the difference?
Have anyone tried?
Using macbook Pro 2017 and high sierra.
