The title basically says it all. I'm assuming the Editor is able to edit peoples post, and that's it, but Moderators are able to do that and close threads, and delete posts. Correct?
Ok. That sounds more.... Likely. Thanks. From my time here I gather that an Editor is someone associated with the news segment of MacRumors and not actually someone who edits people's post, as that is what are moderators are for.
The Editors seem to be responsible for the news content and writing articles or at least overseeing them.
Just like an editor at a newspaper or magazine I guess.
Confused now?
Not enough. How about Knox, blakespot, longofest and Mudbug?![]()
More or less. For the most part I understand. What about the ones Hellhammer listed? The user titles of most MacRumors employees and volunteers represent their primary task, although what we each do can change over time.
All editors/administrators/moderators can edit posts, for example, but that's a job mostly handled by the moderators. WildCowboy is primarily an editor (news story writer) but he is also an administrator (in charge of setting policies and managing the forums overall) and a moderator (in charge of helping users with forum problems and enforcing the rules). xUKHCx and I are primarily administrators although we both moderate too, and I've been known to write a news story now and then. r6girl is both an editor and a moderator. And arn does whatever he pleases!

Yeah, that's pretty much it. Knox also wrote our macrumorslive system, he manages our servers, and he and arn and I are usually the guilty ones when we break something in vBulletin while making modifications.I believe I am correct on these.
Knox developed Forum Spy.
blakespot founded the site with arn.
longofest is an Editor.
Mudbug posts duplicate articles and drums up traffic for MacBytes.com![]()
